Click Start >> Control Panel >> Administrative >>

And Select Computer Management

Here is the view Computer Management
Note Circle which makes its groove
Select Disk Management >> Then select the partition that will be in the (shrink volume) select Shrink Volume

After selecting the input volume Shrink Volume to be taken out of the partition as the example below is 1000Mb then click Shrink

If Successfully then Querying the partition space will be done ...
